What are the “official” USC Train hotels?

Every year, USC Train organizers arrange special group rates with one or two hotels in the vicinity of the Train’s destination city and football game location. Most USC Train passengers choose to stay at one of these hotels, although some arrange for separate accommodations. Hotel costs are not included in your USC Train ticket, but the USC Train organizers can help you make reservations at one of the “official” hotels, as well as provide transportation from the train station to the hotel. Information on how to reserve hotel rooms at the USC Train rate is included in the confirmation email you will receive after making your reservation.

Information on this year’s “official” USC Train hotels, including phone numbers and addresses, can be found on the Itinerary page.

How do I purchase tickets to the football game?

Tickets to the football game are not included in the USC Train price. In fact, some USC Train passengers ride the train for the pep rallies and USC spirit and never even attend the game. If you would like to attend the game, click here for information on purchasing USC Football Game Tickets.

Where do I go to board the USC Train? Where is the Los Angeles Amtrak Station?

The USC Train trip begins at the Los Angeles Union Station. We board Amtrak’s Coast Starlight train at this station and ride it to our destination.

Los Angeles – Union Station (Station ID: LAX)
800 North Alameda Street
Los Angeles, CA 90012

Where else does the USC Train stop?

Before reaching our destination city, the USC Train (Amtrak’s Coast Starlight route) will make several other stops. The USC Band members and Song Girls aboard our train will perform pep rallies at several of these stops (exact stops for rallies TBD). Other train stops and locations can be found on the Amtrak Coast Startlight schedule. USC Train passengers do not have to change trains at any of these stops.

How and when do I get home?

Flights home are at your own expense. Most people choose to leave on Sunday, which gives them the entire weekend to explore the USC Train destination city. All USC Train destination cities have several airline options available for getting back to Southern California.
